I decided to bring our beautiful thoroughbred park hack mare "Flirt", dam of NZEA Regal Flirt (ex Willowcroft Regal Emblem) and Burleighvilla Gold Tribute (ex Pendley Gold Cup) back into work, and she has since sold to a showing home who will be bringing her out as a newcommer this season. I look forward to watching her progress and wish her new owners the best of luck with her. The rest of the show team is coming into work really well. Pictured below is Flirts first ride in a number of years.

At the NESS NZ Showing Awards last night Burleighvilla Just A Rumour (Langtree Just So ex Southwind Its A Rumour) was awarded Silver in the Led Pony of the Season behind Nala Emblems Zephyr the 6 times Led POTY winner. A great effort for a yearling who has only been shown locally. I was also awarded Silver in the Handler of the Season behind Alan Windle... So a great way to end a super show season!

A few comings and goings, Aintree Enrique has been purchased as a winter project and has already settled in and working well, he will be placed with a lead rein home for the coming season. Llannon Pillow Talk has moved homes and now resides with Callum Gibson of Edencourt Stud, best of luck with her. We have also purchased the beautifully bred Eastdale Dance With Me, sired by the recently deceased Falconhurst Flashdance (imp) (Deanhills Glad Tidings ex Rosslyn Riverdancer) and out of Eastdale Royal Romance (iiu) (Syon Royal Portrait ex Kirreway Xcell). "Jill" has been very lightly shown, at her first outing, Nelson A&P 2009 she was awarded Champion Pony Youngstock, NZPB Sash and Supreme Led Pony. She will be joining the led team here this season, before embarking on a saddle career in the future.

Congratulations to the West family on their purchase of Edencourt Merry Melody, and best of luck with her. We welcomed a new hack to the show team, Champagne On Ice has been shown sucessfully inhand and undersaddle including, Supreme Led Sport Horse - Waikatos World 08, Supreme Led Sport Horse - NZ Nationals 10, 4th Hack of the Year 09 among many other wins! Thankyou to the Duncan Family for allowing me to have this beautiful horse!

Southwind Its A Rumour (Radway Talk of the Town ex Kirreway Xcel), Dam of our Multi Supreme Champion yearling, Burleighvilla Just A Rumour (ex Langtree Just So), has sold to Joelene Booth in the far north, im sure she will produce some lovely foals for her new home, best of luck with her.

Well a busy start to 2010 meant the wbesite was forgotten, but its now updated and back online, the first day of 2010 saw the arrival of a beautiful filly from Merivale Park Serenade Rose (imp) (Myscal Encore ex Willowcroft Hill Rose) and by Royalwood Boy Soprano (Syon Royal Portrait ex Royalwood Merry Music) This is the first foal in New Zealand by this outstanding sire in Australia. The last few days of January saw us head to the NZ Grand National Showing Championships in Christchurch, what a super show for Hopefield All Talk (Radway Talk of the Town ex Hopefield Fairy Queen) owned by Stacey Thomas and prepaired by Burleighvilla, Out In Style also competed with a few minor placings, a huge outing for an inexperienced horse and rider was a bit much!!
